What’s on the plate for 2023? Printing!

I thought about what the year 2023 should bring, and I decided to progress a number of personal projects I had in my mind. One topic will be printing on your home inkjet printer.

People might underestimate the capabilities of their office printer; some are quite capable of producing beautiful prints good enough to enter into competitions.

I will use these prints to hang them on the wall, or to submit them to photographic competitions and have them evaluated (other people say ‘judged’). I like printing my images, it is very satisfying to hold your image in your hands as a physical object, rather than just having a digital image on the screen. For selling my images I use a professional print shop as they can do larger prints (e.g. A2).

Creating prints from your digital images seems to be straightforward for the uninitiated, but there are many pitfalls on the way. I will probably test all of them and let you know how to avoid them, to save us all a lot of time and money in future.

I wish you all a successful year 2023 and have fun creating your images!
